Criminal Cases in the Andrew County Courts
The Andrew County Circuit Court is the county’s felony trial court within Missouri’s Fifth Judicial Circuit. The Associate Circuit Division handles misdemeanors, traffic matters, and other cases within its statutory jurisdiction. Savannah and Country Club Village ordinance cases also pass through the Andrew County court operation. Those municipal cases share courthouse staff and a session schedule, but they remain distinct from state criminal charges.

Missouri Case.net is the main remote entrance for public Andrew County criminal court cases, and the judiciary’s Case.net information page explains the system’s access role. It offers litigant name, filing date, case number, scheduled hearing and trial, and judgment index searches. A case number is the cleanest identifier. For a name search, use the full last name and add the first and middle name, filing year, case type, and Andrew County location to reduce false matches.
Open the matching cause number and read the case header before the docket. Confirm location, filing date, type, assignment, and status. Then review parties and counsel, charges and judgments, scheduled hearings, financial entries, and any public electronic documents. A name result is only useful after those details match the intended Andrew County case.

Circuit Criminal and Associate Criminal are not duplicate labels. The circuit level handles felony files, while the associate division handles its misdemeanor, traffic, and other assigned jurisdiction. What the Case File Shows
An Andrew County criminal file is organized around a cause number and dated docket. It records what the prosecutor filed and what the court did. This differs from the jail booking, which preserves intake allegations and custody details. When the two charge lists conflict, treat the filed court count and later judgment as the court record. The Andrew County Sheriff and Jail page is the county source for local law-enforcement and facility contacts, not the source of the final court disposition.

Read Andrew County Disposition Terms
Docket labels mark procedure, not always the merits. “Warrant issued” may follow a failure to appear. “Dismissed” ends a count without a judgment of guilt on that count. “Nolle prosequi” means the prosecutor formally stopped pursuing the charge. A guilty plea or finding must be read with the sentence and any SIS or SES notation.

Read each count separately. One Andrew County case can contain a dismissal on one charge, a plea on another, and a later sentence event. The case status alone cannot express that mix.
Stages of a Criminal Case
The court trail starts only after an arrest, summons, or investigation reaches a filing decision. When Andrew County Cases Are Missing
A failed name search does not prove that no Andrew County criminal case exists. Victims, witnesses, minors, protected parties, and confidential cases may not be searchable by name. A sealed, juvenile, or expunged matter may be suppressed. Older files and public documents that were never imaged can require a clerk request. A case-number search may also locate a public case that a protected-name search does not.

Federal Cases Outside Andrew County Courts
Andrew County lies within the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri. Federal criminal cases are searched through PACER, not Missouri Case.net, and a federal prosecution may exist without an Andrew County case. PACER requires registration and uses the federal judiciary’s current billing schedule.

Access & Restrictions
Missouri Court Operating Rule 2 governs public court access and confidentiality. Public criminal cases may show headers, parties, charges, dockets, hearings, judgments, and authorized electronic documents. Juvenile matters, sealed and expunged cases, confidential attachments, victim details, protected addresses, and personal identifiers receive limits. The online view can therefore be narrower than what the clerk holds and narrower still than information law enforcement may lawfully retain.
The Missouri Sunshine Law applies to records kept by public bodies, but a request does not override a court access rule or statutory closure. Ask the Circuit Clerk whether a particular Andrew County pleading is public and whether remote access, counter inspection, or a copy request is the correct route.
